Tidings of Christmas-Best Wishes

My best wishes to all for a happy holiday season in 2008 extending into 2009.

We've had a lot challenges since 9-ll attacks.

Probably our biggest one to date is the massive fraud and deceit in the financial community which appears to have been taken over by greed and fraudulent activity.

We are also involved in a recession which is unattractive for most all of us.

I reach back into the experience of my early life and tales of the 30's depression years to offer you encouragement. Nothing can be so bad as to want to end this beautiful life which we enjoy in the United States.

So I say, keep your chin up, try to be good to others and express yoiur appreciation when they are kind to you. Together we will survive.

And if you are a christian, be not too judgmental. If you have gay children who wish to marry please don't stand in their way. You brought them into this world and of you are capable of loving your own children you most surely would be in support of their happiness.

Over 18,000 of our gay children have coupled up in marriage of a serious nature in California. It would be a shame to destroy their future.

Opening Day

Well here we are at blogspot. A daily journal of sorts.

As you get older no one seems to want to listen and most everyone has complaints.

When I go to lunch with the seniors at the local baptist church there are lots of complaints about money these days. Not enough of it.

So nowadays I'm becoming more popular, almost prized for my stingy ways.

Actually I am not stingy, but a bit scottish in that I try to make my dollars stretch, I cannot see any logic in throwing money away.

And with prices rising these days, as gasoliene, now almost $3.49 a gallon, it pays to save a b it whenever youcan. , now almost $4.49 a gallon it pays to save a bit when you can. z
